The population of the communities we serve continues to grow as does the need for quality hospice and palliative caregivers as well as administrative professionals.

As a result, HPCIC is always recruiting full-time, part-time and PRN staff. Specific positions will be updated here as they become available, but we encourage you to complete the application so that your information is on file in our office.

    HOSPICE PHYSICIAN OR NURSE PRACTITIONER

     A Full Time Physician (MD or DO) or Nurse Practitioner is needed to assist with the hospice and palliative care of patients in the homecare setting as well as local hospitals, nursing facilities and the Gordon Hospice House.  This position will perform both Hospice patient visits as well as Palliative Care consultations under the direction of the Hospice Medical Director.

    Competitive salary and benefit package available.  Two years as a physician or nurse practitioner with experience in family practice ideal, experience in hospice and palliative care preferred. Sign on bonus available but dependent on experience.

    HUMAN RESOURCES SUPPORT

    A full-time 80% position (32 hours per week) administrative support position is open supporting the human resources department based in Statesville. Associates Degree in human resources or business required with related experience in Human Resources.  Position supports the Chief Operating Officer and Operations Manager.

    Position provides day-to-day benefits administration including benefits orientation and enrollments. Position will also assist with pre-employment screenings, new employee orientation, employee file setup, file audits, and will track all related insurance and licensure dates for staff.   Leads recruitment initiatives as well as organizational employee communications including staffing memos, labor law bulletin boards, etc. Helps develop employee job descriptions as well as HR policies and procedures.   Assists employees with travel arrangements to conferences and education,   employee safety, and health and wellness initiatives.

    Candidate must have strong customer service and organization skills.  MS Office and Data Entry skills and experience required.  Candidate must have strong MS Excel.

    MEDICAL RECORDS SPECIALIST

    An 80% (36 hours/week) Medical Records Specialist position is open in the Statesville Office.  Weekdays with some flexibility but weekly schedule will include Monday and Friday. 

    Position supports the medical records needs of the organization by ensuring complete and timely medical records are maintained. 

    Candidate should be flexible and multi-task oriented with a good working knowledge of medical terminology and processes, must be flexible, detail oriented and able to follow tasks through to completion.  Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, computer skills especially in Microsoft Office products.  Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Background and experience in Medical Records required, medical coding experience preferred.

    PART-TIME MAINTENANCE

    A part-time (16 hours per week) maintenance position is available at the Gordon Hospice House with shared responsibilities in the Statesville Administration Office.

    Candidate must a have a basic understanding of maintenance and maintenance planning, technical and mechanical troubleshooting, and facility compliance and regulations.

    This candidate will also assist with fire extinguisher, generator, and sprinkler system checks, will assist with vendor contact/communication, and will perform monthly and quarterly safety audits. 

    Competitive hourly pay is available.
