Precautions in place due to Coronavirus
Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County is asking those considered at-risk to avoid visiting the Gordon Hospice House in light of precautions for COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has recommended all facilities that serve high-risk persons should limit visitors and restrict all visitors who have respiratory illness, flu-like symptoms or potential exposure to COVID-19 virus, as well those who have traveled outside the U.S. in the past 14 days. HPCIC respectfully requests that people who meet those criteria do not visit patients at the Gordon Hospice House.
In addition, HPCIC is assessing patients for exposure risks, including anyone in the home having fever, cough, difficulty breathing or flu-like symptoms, as well as those who have traveled out of the country in the past 14 days.
Patients who are concerned should not hestitate to contact HPCIC at 704-873-4719.
The situation surrounding COVID-19 is rapidly changing, and we will updated as information becomes available from the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of Health and Human Services.
